Udhampur, Sep 24: The Indian Army is conducting a two weeks Electrician Cadre at Gool, Ramban District with effect from 24 September to 06 October 2019. The capsule aims at imparting basic electrician skills to the enthusiastic youths so that it can bring economic independence and empower the youth to positively contribute to the society. This project will benefit 40 enthusiastic
youth residing in Gool region. The response shown by the youth was overwhelming as they took keen interest in acquiring electrician cadre as a new skill. One of the confident participants said “The Electrician Cadre has come as a great boon for us to generate Self Employment”. Post the successful completion of the cadre, guidance and encouragement will be given to participants to begin their own ventures. The Sarpanchs of the Gool Division appreciated the Indian Army’s effort to empower youth and requested for more skill development cadre in future. In another initiative at Bagga, Reasi the Indian Army is conducting a three-week Electrician Cadre for the youth of Gulabgarh region at Bagga with effect from 22 September to 11 October 2019.
The cadre scheduled for 20 days is aimed at imparting basic working knowledge and training on electrical wiring and equipment repair which would benefit 20 youth from various villages of Gulabgarh region. Certificates from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) will be given to all the individuals on successful completion of the cadre.
Sarpanch Bagga and other opinion makers highlighted the benefits of the cadre for the youth. The local populace appreciated the steps being taken by the Army towards youth empowerment.
